i do not currently use marijuana, nor condone marijuana use, but i’m sure it’s probably a whole lot safer then using legal (otc) over-the-counter prescription drug medications such as depressants, pain relievers, and stimulants. these drugs are provided by very powerful pharmaceutical companies who are in it for extreme profit/wealth and are not looking out for the well being of individuals.
depressants: alcohol, xanax, valium, ambien…etc.
pain relievers: tylenol, oxycontin, vicodin, percocet…etc.
stimulants: ritalin, adderall, ecstacy…etc.
according to the (nida) national institute on drug abuse website, in 2010, approximately 16 million americans reported using a prescription drug for nonmedical reasons in the past year; 7 million in the past month.
not so long ago celebrities died because of heroine or cocaine overdose. now days celebrities such as michael jackson, whitney houston, heath ledger, brittany murphy, anna nicole smith, and andy irons are dying because of prescription drug overdose. because prescription drugs are easily accessible and widely prescribed, millions of children, teenagers, adults, and elders are dying for no reason. it surely doesn’t help discourage anyone to not take it when it is labeled as “legal”. direct marijuana deaths: 0 to 0.00000001% when compared to prescription drug abuse deaths.
i think the spotlight should be taken away from marijuana - a natural herbal medicine and be focused on prescription drug medications - chemically engineered. the real drug war should be against pharmaceutical companies.
otc prescription drug medications weakens and damages your immune system.
note: i haven’t taken any type of otc prescription drug med such as tylenol and nyquil wen i start to feel da nightime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy-head, fever, so i can rest medicine…as well as da oxycodone dat was provided to me by my doctor after knee surgery. i jus let my immune system go to work on its own without any aid. our immune system can be very powerful and resilient if you jus let it be. every co-worker of mine dat i work wit in close proximity has gotten a cold or flu, but me. proof iz in da pudding, since not taking any type of otc prescription drug, i haven’t needed to go to da doctor because of sickness in over nine years.

apparently i was swimming da wrong way. a few swims ago i learned a new freestyle stroke technique from one of da local lifeguards, and it seems to be working quite well despite it taking a while to get da feeling down. today i learned a more relaxed breast stroke technique by watching da pro in da nxt lane making it look oh so easy. learning is an ongoing process…there’s much more we will neva know den wat we will ever know.
goal three met: swim an hour straight.
